The tomb of Âteşbâz-ı Velî is near the Aşkan (Âşıkān "lovers") hill on the Meram road in Konya. The body part of the building, which has the characteristics of Seljuk tomb architecture, is made of regular cut stone and has a square plan from the inside and an octagonal plan from the outside. Its top is covered with an ehrami cone and its Arabic inscription is on the "supplication window" in the south. A lodge was built around the tomb by Çelebi Abdüssamed, one of the grandchildren of Muzafferüddin Ahmed Pasha, son of Arife Şeref Hatun, daughter of Sultan Veled, and foundations were established. In place of this zaviye, which was destroyed over time, today's lodge was built in 1897 by the post-nishin Vahid Çelebi. In the Mevlevi order, the kitchen is the "aşhane" and more importantly, it is the place where the basic training of the people who wish to join the Mevlevi order is made. In the time of Mevlana, this important task was given to “Âteşbâz-ı Velî” Yusuf b. Izzeddin was doing it. In the following periods, this title was used for the persons appointed to this task. The private hearth in the Mevlevi Lodges is called "Âteşbâz-ı Veli". On important days, the soup was cooked here, and the silver-colored “Âteşbâz-ı Velî cauldron”, which was kept in a separate place, was washed and carefully put away when the work was done. The name of the white fleece lined in the square in the Mevlevi lodges is “ateşbâz post”. Surrender to this rank means "confessing to Mevlevism", "taking into pain". The place of the "ateş-bâz tombmaster", who was the tutor of the devotees, in the semahane during the ritual was at the level of the furnishing and the cultist grandfather. Meşîhatnames were often sent with the "ateshbaz sheikh". Âteşbâz-ı Velî is also mentioned in the "gülbank" after the meal, as in the opening of cauldrons and pots.
