Love it so much. The statues are carved skillfully. And the pigeons look amazing when all of them come towards you to eat some seeds.

The monument is in the Ulus Square which was the main square in Ankara before the 1950s. It is situated to the east of Atatürk Boulevard. The monument was a result of a nationwide fund drive organized by the journalist Yunus Nadi. After an international competition, the project of Heinrich Krippel from Austria was rewarded. The monument was inaugurated on 24 November 1927. It was restored in 2002. The monument is actually a group of bronze statues. In addition to equestrian Atatürk in the center, there are three more figures; two soldiers and one woman. One soldier is calling his friend to the battlefront and the other one is observing the front. The woman is carrying a cannonball, as a reference to the contributions of the Turkish women during the Turkish War of Independence.

This place is very big, beautiful and glorious. Pine trees can be seen in all their beauty. There is order, tranquility and a beautiful view of the city. The huge sculptures and the view of the courtyard reminded me of ancient Greece.

The natural habitat of dayi's. (Dayi is a creature which is known by replies as "show your mobile phone" in every street interviews. They are waiting all days for their preys. İf you want to observe them in their natural enviroment , just take a microphone and ask people how is the economy. After that, Dayi's come to your nearby and say "it is perfect, everbody has phones of 5000 turkish liras"

I have very nice memories at this place. I like it’s simplicity and publicity of this place you can find any thing you need here and you can see all levels of people also here buying their daily needs things specially food requirements. One more thing I saw it for the first time and I got shocked that I didn’t know about them before which are museums. Am going to attach photos of these museums. One of them is the “ptt” museum which is the “Posta , telegrapg telephone”.

A historic monument in a crowded area in the center of Ankara. Around this statue are a shopping area, bus stops, a museum, and even a university. In case you go to the city center, you should stop by this area as it is packed with places and attractions.
