★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caddesini, mahallesini gördüm. Bulvarını, parkını, köprüsünü, dağını gördüm. İlkokulunu, ortaokulunu, lisesini, üniversitesini, stadını gördüm. Sağlık ocağını, hastanesini, ormanını gördüm. Ama camisini görmemiştim. Onu da Bitlis'te gördüm. Atatürk Camii. Rivayetlere göre Atatürk burada namaz kılmış. Alt katı bir zamanlar medrese imiş.
I saw her street, her neighborhood. I saw the boulevard, the park, the bridge, the mountain. I saw her elementary school, her middle school, her high school, her university, her stadium. I saw the health center, the hospital, the forest. But I never saw her mosque. I saw him in Bitlis. Atatürk Mosque. According to the rumors, Ataturk prayed here. The lower floor was once a madrasa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atatürk camii Merkez Gazibey Mahallesinde Kazımpaşa ilkokulun hemen karşısında bulunmaktadır. Kazımpaşa ilkokulu ile Atatürk camii arasında tarihi bir köprü bulunmaktadır ve bu köprü üzerinde bulunan yol iki tarihi mekanı birbirinden ayıran tek unsurdur. Tatvan yolundan ayrılıp iki yapı arasından geçen bu yol ilimiz İnönü, Hersan, Avılmeydan ve Sekiz Ağustos mahallelerine girmektedir.
Atatürk Mosque is located in the Central Gazibey neighborhood, opposite the Kazımpaşa primary school. There is a historical bridge between Kazımpaşa Primary School and Atatürk Mosque and the road on this bridge is the only element that separates two historical places. This road which is separated from Tatvan road and passes between two buildings, enters the İnönü, Hersan, Avılmeydan and Sekiz Ağustos neighborhoods.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Medresesi ile bir külliye olan Gazi Bey Camii, yapı üzerindeki kitabesine göre Miladi 1836 tarihinde yapılmıştır. Gazi Bey Camisinin güney cephesinde yer alan pencerenin altındaki kitabede “ 13 Kasım 1916 tarihinde Atatürk bu camide namaz kılmıştır” yazısı yer almaktadır. Günümüzde iki katlı olan yapının ikinci katı 1960 yılında eklenmiştir.
Gazi Bey Mosque, which is a complex with its madrasah, was built in 1836 according to its inscription on the building. In the inscription under the window on the south facade of Gazi Bey Mosque, there is the inscription "Atatürk prayed in this mosque on 13 November 1916". The second floor of the two-storey building was added in 1960.
