Asmazlar Bağevi Safranbolu’nun sit alanı olan Bağlar Değirmenbaşı
mevkiinde bulunmaktadır. Bağlar, bölgenin en yüksek yerinde olması ve ormana
yakınlığı nedeniyle Safranbolu’nun en temiz havasına sahiptir. Bağlar ’da çok
büyük bahçeler içinde seyrek bir yerleşme şekli vardır. Bu nedenle uzun yıllar
yazlık yerleşim yeri olarak kullanılmıştır.
Asmazlar Bağevi, kalınlığı 90-100 cm’ yi bulan taş duvarlar ve ahşap direkler
üzerine kurulmuş üç katlı bir yapıdır. Konağın bilinen tarihi 200 yıldan daha
öncesine dayanmaktadır.
