It is one of the lesser known places in Mersin. If you go by navigation, it leaves the main road where it connects to the dirt road. You enter inside from a broken dirt road for about 1km. The road is very narrow. As soon as you pass the village house on the left, you see the historical ruins. You can park your car in the wide area here and watch the sinkhole. If you go 50m north through the stones, you will see a gap to descend into the sinkhole. Here you can go down the historical stairs to the floor of the sinkhole. There are many different birds inside, they have established their own habitats.

We went based on the reviews on here and we really liked it. The location shown in the navigation is correct. It is useful to look at the navigation, as there is no sign at the place where you need to turn right from the main road. There is a village house on the right. From there, a 1 km bad and partially narrow road goes. Looking at the comments here, we parked our car in front of the house and preferred to walk for 1 km. There were people who went by car, it's up to you. The scenery at the end of the 1 km road is magnificent. There is a descent on the left, but we did not dare. You can get off if you have suitable shoes. Great bird sounds come from below. A must see place. There are no facilities around, so I recommend you to take water when you go.

There is an area in front of the pothole to make a turn with the vehicle. The pothole is quite impressive. There are many natural and man-made caves in it. Many ruins can be seen around it. In the north of Silifke, there are rock tombs on the edge of the sinkhole, where there are life remains at a depth of 70 meters. There are Karakabakli and Isikkale ruins in its close vicinity. A beautiful place to see.
