Ardahan Castle

It was much nicer than I expected. This is probably one of the most beautiful places in the city. It is a quiet and peaceful place, the castle is also quite solid, there is no impression of a shambles.

On the Artvin road, on the right side of the bridge, there are a few nice restaurants in front of it, I did not have the opportunity to visit, but even the view was enjoyable. There is a place for viewing and painting at the end of the bridge, if you are on the road, stop by.

It is estimated that the area of ​​Ardahan Castle was used by various kingdoms long before the Ottoman construction information included in its inscription. Already, the defense structures do not change even after centuries. However, as stated in its inscription, the present version was built by the order of Suleiman the Magnificent. When we went, we saw that it was closed because it was under maintenance. It is not right to close such places, and as far as we have learned from the local people, it is understood that this is done arbitrarily. So even if you don't want to leave a person, don't close the door and break people's bond with history. His epitaph and the decorations of the door were truly magnificent. If we ever cross our path again, I would like to see the inside.

It was closed because it was under restoration. It has a wonderful view by the river. I wish we could go inside. I think it should be a little cleaner around it.
