Attempted to ship a few documents overseas. I was given a tracking code but the package was not input to the system at all, making the code that I have useless. Had to constantly call in order to learn where my package was as it contained sensitive documents. Although I selected and paid for express shipping , my package was delayed for 4 days. I was also told that the "delays" could take up-to 2 weeks "due to Covid-19" !! This prompted me to cancel the shipment immediately and begin to seek other options. Bearing in mind that when asking for a quote , I was told that it would take 6 - 11 days to arrive at the destination. After calling multiple offices and sending emails , my package was finally located in Istanbul. I requested for it to be canceled and returned back to the origin and asked for another tracking number in order to monitor its return and avoid the hassle of locating it by phone once again. At first I was told "there are no tracking numbers for shipments being returned", then I was told " we have a tracking number that we wont give you." The company ceased to respond to emails or phone calls until the package arrived in Ankara which took about two days. No English-speaking employees in the Ankara branch. One of the staff there did her best to translate on the phone but that's about it. Overall outrageous post office and an extremely unreliable shipping company in my opinion. i wouldn't advise using Aramex to send time-sensitive documents/packages anywhere.
