Side ancient town, sitting alongside the modern and recently renovated town is in a stunning location and, unlike the other nearby sites, free to park and enter. There's a motorised shuttle service for those unable or unwilling to walk the few hundred metres through the ruins to the shoreline where the temples are located. It's well worth arriving in late afternoon and experiencing the sunset lighting up the columns in a soft orange glow.

Fabulous place apollon temple wow. Walked around the harbour. Take plenty of money, we had litres but euros apparently are more value. Loads of clothes, shoes, kic kac, and spices. Spent on shirts, tops, shoes etc great imitations.

Went here a couple of times. A bit of a walk as you have to leave your car way back. There is a train to take you part of the way for 2.5 lira. Quite dramatic close to the sea and harbour although in reality there are only four pillars. Located close to the harbour near lots of restaurants and shops.

Such a legendary place in southern Turkey. Great Roman architecture right by the sea. It offers great scene for photographers. I would allocate 1-2 hours for the overall place. Plus, the shopping center is also entertaining. Please note that you need to walk around 1km after you park your car to arrive at the temple.

A must see when in Side. We visited during the day, walked around the ancient city ruins. Also went in the evening where the Temple looked stunning against the sunset.

Beautiful Roman architecture. Must see if you are a fan of ancient architecture in this region or in total. Side is amazing place, one of my favourite visited so far. After walk and all sight seeing you can chill in nearby cafe or take a boat trip which at the moment some are offered as 2.99€ per person.

These Roman ruins are great to visit during the day and at night as they are illuminated in the night. Its a lovely town with nice shops, restaurants and a harbour, so nice to walk around. It's great that it is basically a pedestrian town with a large free car park 10 mins walk away.
