Modern and clean museum. It contains lots of item about life of the human who lives 20 hunderd years before. Nature is great. Prefer to visit there. Also can be goes there children or wheelchair.

Great ancient city with a small museum. Its the best historical landmark after Myra ancient city in the region.

It's an very important city mostly because it is an Port city, but also it has an sinagog! I Highly recommend visiting it with a guide who know the city very well.

Plenty of different archeological artefacts, but I do not understand, how is it possible to make the great history of the surroundings SO boring. Descriptions outside are not informative at all. But you walk through all the gorgeous ruins hoping that museum will help you to visualize, what and how it looked like here before. But no, guys, forget it. The texts in the museum (inside) are unreadable. The exposition lacks logic and does not show a single touch of creativity. Even a person with some English knowledge and average intellect can`t survive more than three rooms in one go. The only interactive place in the whole museum (you can sort of watch the video of yourself moving on the ship) helps it, but just a tiny bit. It is possible to make out of all that such a cool exhibition with storytelling, with some gamification and all other nice touches which will not require high technologies and lots of money. But right now it is not done, so that history stays, like for many of us at school, terribly, incredibly boring. Dear team, in case you ever want to make your exhibition attractive, let me know, I would jump in for some project work if we agree on price ;)

This place was so cool! We were planning on just going to Myra but stopped here also when we saw it driving by. I am so glad we did! It was definitely one of the most interesting ancient sites we have seen. The granary is incredible, and the way they restored it and turned it into the museum was really fascinating, the size of it gives you a sense of how much grain was being shipped to Rome. We also loved the replica of the ship, I never really understood why the pots were shaped like that, but when you see them stacked in the ships cargo hold, it makes sense.
