The Tomb of Amyntas located in the south side of the city in the mountainside, in the base of the mountain. The impressive looking tomb was built in 350 BC, and was named after the Greek inscription on the side of it which reads "Amyntou tou Ermagiou", which translated to English means "Amyntas, son of Hermagios". The tomb was built by the Lycians, the people who lived in this area of Turkey at the time. The Lycians were never members of a specific country, but rather a tightly-knit confederation of independent city-states, which included Telmessos. Compared to many other tombs carved into mountainsides in the area, the interior of the Tomb of Amyntas is very spacious. The tomb is easy to find. When you like walking you can climb up the Mountain to the right. İt is a nice walk.

You can actually go and see all 3 gates contrary to popular belief that its only the one main gate after going up 200 steps. If you show dedication, all 3 can be done however the other two aren't exactly done by climbing steps instead its going up the hill

A must see place if you are in the area. Short hike, nice views, interesting history. 30 min max.

Nice spot for a quick visit when in the area. You can walk up on the steps of one of the tombs which is nice but the site itself is unfortunately littered with graffiti. Cheap entry fee of 12.5TY.

Not a lot of tombs, but they are a spectacular sight sitting behind fethiye. The very cheap entry allowed me to spend a while scrambling around visiting them all. Only the main one is easily accessible but it's fun doing a bit of scrambling. Also interesting to look at the remaining inscriptions.

Nice rock tombs that you can get very close to. The entrance fee is only about 10 lira. There is a small parking area one level down.

Got a chill vibe to it. There's nothing up there and u can get the most of it without paying for the tickets. At April 2022 each foreigner had to pay 12.5 TL to enter. But the view of city from up there is nice.

We thought that these tombs were very interesting as worth visiting, the cost is 5TL. They are not very far from downtown an easy walk. We do recommend seeing as they are unusual. 3btraveler
