The tomb of the late Alparslan Türkeş. An ordinary grave, not characteristic for a "chieftain". Classic marble style. The tomb is in the city and by the roadside. Green surroundings but not suitable for sitting. Vehicle parking is limited. There are more visitors on Saturday-Sundays. The practice of "veneration" that was once done no longer exists.

In the original religion of Islam, which emerged in Arabia and spread to the world, there are no concepts such as tombstones or tombs. Because the religion of Islam strongly opposes paganism and such statues, tombstones and tombs are not welcomed as they are considered idols. The concepts of tombstone and tomb come from the Tengrism belief of the Turks before Islam. If it is to be in accordance with the real Islamic understanding, there should be no gravestones in any grave. But mausoleums and tombstones, even giving food at funerals, mawlid/divine reading, evil eye belief, casting lead are all products of Turkish-Islamic synthesis.
