A mosque from the Seljuk

This is the street where my childhood passed. II. It was built by Talaslı Ali Saip Pasha, one of the ceramics of Abdulhamid. There is also a fountain just before entering the street and this fountain was built by Ali Saip Pasha (this fountain was moved to its place now in 1960. Besides, there is an inactive fountain to the left of the mosque door. There is a non-existent fountain.

It has a unique mystical air. It makes you feel a different peace when worshiping. Let me state that there is no hot water for ablution in winter. There is a compartment for ladies.

The architecture and interior texture of the mosque stinks of history. An artwork worth seeing.

Ali Saip Paşa Mosque is located at the entrance of the street known by its name in our Kiçiköy Neighborhood. It was built in 1888 by the Ottoman State Seer Ali Saip Pasha. The mosque is entered by passing through the door with the Ottoman Empire coat of arms on the triangle pediment. The entrance to the harim part is through the door, which has a 12-line inscription written in ta'lik. The mosque has a rectangular plan. It has a dome with eight windows in the center. The dome carries four arches sitting on four legs. The harim part consists of three naves separated by pointed arches. The middle aisle is wider than the side aisles. There are two rectangular windows on the front and rear walls and three each on the side walls. The fountain is adjacent to the courtyard wall of Ali Saip Paşa Mosque. The fountain, which is still functional today, was built by Ali Saip Pasha in H.1304 (M.1886). The mirror stone and the inscription of the fountain are made of marble. Inscription; Written in thuluth line, it consists of 6 parts. The façade of the fountain is bordered by pillars on the sides.

It is a wonderful historical mosque, the interior maintenance of the mosque is also nice, but soap is missing in the fountain section. It is located in the area called Ottoman Street. The women's prayer section is reached by steep stair steps.

It's a wonderful street. A short journey in the past. It's beautiful in all seasons, but in the evenings, photo enthusiasts can find more beautiful shots.

Ali Saip Paşa Camii is definitely worth seeing. The mosque is a former church that has been converted into a mosque. The architecture is kept very simple. The dome and minarets are beautiful too. Inside there is a second level that is set up for women to pray.
