Günümüzde lojman olarak kullanılan tarihî gar binasının yerine 1939 yılında inşa edilen yeni gar binası eski Afyonkarahisar milletvekili ve Ulaştırma Bakanı Ali Çetinkaya'nın adını taşımaktadır.
Afyonkarahisar Ali Çetinkaya Station is the main train station of TCDD located in the city center of Afyonkarahisar. The new station building, which was built in 1939 instead of the historical station building, which is now used as a lodging, is named after the former Afyonkarahisar deputy and Transport Minister Ali Çetinkaya.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Afyon izmir arası 26.11.2019 tarihinde hareket eden konya mavi treni yokuşu çıkamadığı için 1 saat rötar yaptı. Başka bir çekicinin gelmesini bekledik. Biletçi ya da herhangi birisi durum hakkında bilgi vermeye tenezzül bile etmedi. Denemiş olmak için binmiyorsanız binmeyin otobüs 5 saatte gidiyor tren 8 saatte fakat otobüs ile arasında 3 lira fark var. Tavsiye etmiyorum kimseye.
Opium from Izmir to Konya on 26/11/2019 moving blue train was delayed for 1 hour did not go uphill. We waited for another tractor. He didn't even patronize the ticketman or any of them to give information about the situation. If you have tried riding the bus ride to the train 8 hours to 5 hours but the bus goes there between 3 pounds difference. I do not recommend to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Afyonkarahisar’ın en güzel mekanlarından biri TCDD tren garıdır. Açık hava müzesi gibi tarih kokan mekanlar, ağaç, çiçek ve yeşilliktir. Tren saatlerinde insan yoğunluğu olsa da genelde sakindir. Dolaşmak için tavsiye ederim.
One of the most beautiful places in Afyonkarahisar is the TCDD train station. Places that smell history, such as an open-air museum, are trees, flowers and greenery. Although there is a crowd of people during the train hours, it is generally calm. I recommend for walking around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gardan çıktıktan sonra düz yürüyerek Atatürk bulvarına ulaşıyorsunuz. Ahmet Necdet Sezer kampüsüne gitmek için bu bulvardan ANS yazan dolmuşlara binerseniz ulaşabilirsiniz.
After leaving the station, you reach Atatürk Boulevard by walking straight. You can reach Ahmet Necdet Sezer campus if you take the minibuses that read ANS from this boulevard.
