★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1822 yılında GAZİANTEP'te doğdu. İsmi halk arasında Ali Baba veya Ali Âkif Efendi hazretleri diye anılır. Babası Şuaybzâde Hacı Emin Efendi, dedesi ise Muhammed Efendidir. Ali Âkif Efendi ilim tahsiline Şeyh Câmii medresesinde başladı. 1850'li yıllarda Kilisli Baytazzâde Abdullah Efendinin talebesi oldu, otuz yıl sohbetleriyle bereketlendi. Hocasının vefâtından sonra uzun müddet halka İslâmiyetin emir ve yasaklarını anlattı. 1905 yılında vefât etti. Türbesi, Gaziantep'in Şehreküstü mahallesinde olup ziyâret edilmektedir.
He was born in 1822 in GAZİANTEP. His name is known as Ali Baba or Ali Akif Efendi. His father is Şuaybzâde Hacı Emin Efendi and his grandfather is Muhammed Efendi. Ali Âkif Efendi started his education in Sheikh Mosque madrasah. He became a student of Baytazzade Abdullah Efendi from Kilis in the 1850s, and he was blessed with his conversations for thirty years. After the death of his teacher, he told the people about the orders and prohibitions of Islam for a long time. He passed away in 1905. His tomb is in Gaziantep's Şehreküstü neighborhood and can be visited.
