One of the best restaurants in Antalya. Great location right on the water, beautiful view of Antalya and the mountains, excellent food and service! Always enjoyed an excellent experience at this restaurant! Great job!??

It was very disappointing....even though it has the best view in town, service was disappointing and some of the food like grilled mushroom was not good. Worse was the payment phase. They took my visa and told me my card was not working even though i use it all the time. I called the restaurant i went last night and they told them how to use it. The restaurant did not have an agreement with one of the major local banks. They were playing a game. Really Alara, after all these years of customer loyalty, this is how it was going to end. It's sad....

It was good. But can be better. Side dish was not so rich. Spinach was not delicious.

Alara Restaurant is an elegant hideaway eatery located inside Ataturk Park and on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea. The glittering lights of both Lara and Konyaalti can be seen here while enjoying an unforgettable dining experience under the stars and moonlight. We timed our arrival here when the sun was setting over the horizon, which made the ambiance breathtaking to the point we forgot to capture a picture of that post-card worthy sunset. We started our dinner with the house specialty salad, the Alara Salad which consisted of fresh lettuce, tomatoes,  cucumbers with bits of parsley and mint, topped with slices of avocado and shredded cheese. The dressing was tangy and savory. The salad was served with fresh dinner rolls and olives. For an appetizer, we ordered the grilled calamari. The calamari rings were tender and perfectly grilled and seasoned. For our entrees, we ordered the whole Sea Bass and the Grilled Sea Bass Skewer. My wife enjoyed the freshly grilled Sea Bass was seasoned with only salt and pepper and served with a wedge of lemon which she squeezed to bring out the full flavor of the fish. Stems of Arugula, half of a baked potato, a ring of red onion and slices of tomatoes accompanied the fish and made for a beautiful presentation. This was my first time to have ordered the Sea Bass on a skewer and I'm glad I did. The fish cuts were separated with slices of pepper which added to the already flavorful fish. I grew up accustomed to ending a Seafood meal with sweets, and to keep up with that tradition, I ordered us the Pumpkin Dessert but I asked for it to be topped with Kaymak because I have a weakness for this traditional Turkish cream. This dessert was served as ordered along with two cups of their aromatic Turkish Tea. We enjoyed every dish immensely and the service by Alara's staff made our dining experience very enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage you to make your way there.

This restaurant has probably the best view, however I found the food there a bit meh. They now serve breakfast on Sundays and specifically went back for that. You can get a good table if you arrive at 10am-ish. Apparently it’s not possible to reserve a table. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming- few types a cheese, lots of walnuts, veggies mainly like a garnish. Yoghurt, potato salad & aubergine as sour meze; Nutella, honey & jam. They served exactly 6 olives - 3 green & 3 black (I thought it was amusing, I mean I haven’t seen such an economical presentation of olives in Turkey!). The French fries weren’t homemade, just frozen and the egg came as scrambled egg with sausage (they didn’t ask anything about how I like my eggs- personally I dislike sausage, so I didn’t touch that). The breakfast with tea was 80TL. Go for the view, not for the food.

Amazing food at a very reasonable price. The views of Antalya's were simply spectacular, especially at sunset. The grilled calamari was my favourite with the spinach a close second.
