★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small cave church, with very nice, colourful frescoes. 10-11th century frescoes. The caretaker gave a brief explanation. Price 7 tl.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you visit the Open Air Museum I don't think there is a need to visit this place, it looks similar and very small. I paid 12.5TL to enter and the ticket man explained a lot of history to me, he had really good english.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful church with ancient wall painting. A bit of a challenge to walk there in summer heat, so you’d better go there in spring or autumn. Winter is also good since there’s a ski resort not far from there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this little church off the road but be ready for a short hike. It will take you 20 minutes at a leisurely stroll to arrive. However, the frescoes are worth the walk. Also, there is a 5-10TL charge per person to go inside the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church is closed, but if you will look on right side from the church, it’s gonna be small room with person who is let you enter inside. His name is Sami and he knows the history, he can explain you what every picture does it mean. His English is very good :) entrance fee is 5 TL, you can give him tips also. Actually, church inside is very small, but pictures are so real, don’t liable to suspicion that colors are fake)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The intact frescoes are amazing. It's a place tucked away from the tourists in the honey valley- opposite Goreme open air museum. It's not much to look at from outside but don't drop it from your list because of that. The walk around the valley may surprise you with little apple and grape orchards in the folds of the dusty and bare mountains. The best part of the church is the remains of the vivid colours of the frescoes.
