Akliman Recreation and Picnic Area

Sinop has a natural view from every corner. Akliman is just one of them. But if you want camping (tent, caravan), silence, sea pleasure, and a good fill in my stomach, you should definitely visit it. You should definitely stop by the Akliman restaurant while you're at it. We recommend a delicious village breakfast or a nice walnut ravioli. Many thanks to the caring and helpful owner, Mr. Özkan. By the way, when we went to the restaurant for breakfast for the second time, we learned that the entrance is free just to go to the restaurant. We learned later and we paid 21 TL since we entered by car. It was worth it. :)

This is a paid entrance place where you can have a picnic, camp, eat and swim in Akliman Bay, which is close to Hammsilos. I broke 2 stars because there is no electricity and water close to the tent, because it is intertwined with picnickers, because there is music and harbor noise, the sea is rocky, but if I come to this bay, I will stay here again. There are free camping and picnic places in Akliman Bay, but there are no night toilets for campers in free places. We came from another city thinking that we could camp in hamsilos bay. When we learned that camping, picnics and swimming are prohibited in hamsilos, we set up a tent here. By the way, there is the opportunity to visit the hamsilos bay by paying 3 lira per person. I say see it when you arrive, but my personal opinion is that it is definitely not worth traveling for hours to see the hamsilos bay. If there was a camp, then of course ... If we go back to the recreation area in Akliman, there are tent and picnic opportunities in two separate parts, the seafront and the wooded area. the view is beautiful. not very ideal for swimming. It has a rocky beach with lots of crabs. You can swim in the nearby beaches. dogs are traveling. may bark. there are also stray cows. there is cow droppings in places. watermelon, tomato etc. do not leave. the cows are distributing. security wanders around. I think our brother who travels during the day is a bit harsh at dealing with campers who don't know any rules, but he is a well-intentioned fatherly brother. He helped us with cable and energy to charge our battery. There is no electricity and no water near the tent. the toilet is at the far end of the wooded area, 100/150 meters from the beach. we saw only one fountain in a large area. There was something like a high fountain on the beach for a shower and there is a shower in the toilet. The wooden showers in the photo have not been put into operation yet. you can swim but the beach is rocky. ⚠️ One night, the water did not flow in the toilet until the morning. Do not go to the toilet without seeing the water running. There are two parts as wooded and beach for camping and picnic. Picnic and camping are done in both sections. In other words, since the camping and picnic areas are not separate, when you wake up in the morning, you may encounter a picnician at the foot of your tent. There are also trees on the beach section, but very few. It is forbidden to bring vehicles to camping and picnic areas. vehicles are parked on the roads in the middle. If you set up a tent on the beach, you can take your vehicle inside at night provided you take it out in the morning. toilet free to campers. the male part is not so bad. Be sure to check the wind forecast before coming ️. it gets too much wind. During the 3 days we winds up most of the time. the wind loses joy. there is music until late. It is not a very quiet place as there are picnicians during the day and music at night. the lighting is almost nonexistent. It's pitch dark after midnight. Since it is adjacent to the fishing port, boat repairs, beet engine pata pata, shouting, horn, etc. sounds. They said that if you follow the boats you can find fish very cheaply. we were not interested. There are free camping areas around but no shower and toilet facilities at night. Two public toilets outside this facility in Akliman Bay are closed in the evenings. the pancake sister and her children were very helpful. $ 80 per tent, pancake (large) $ 15. it was about $ 15 per vehicle at the entrance for a picnic. ⚠️ Don't lose your camping chips. There is no litter box in the beach area. there are only barrels for ash. That's why the garbage seemed to go to the sea. (review time September 2020).

A great place. It is definitely one of the must-see places. There is an entrance fee for this section. If you enter on foot, 6,00₺ per person and 18,00₺ if you are two people. ? fee. There are seating areas. There is a large part outside where you can have a picnic. A little further is Hamsilos Bay. It is one of the rare regions in the world. If you happen to come to this side, do not go without seeing it.

It is a beautiful facility in Hamsilos Bay, which is a natural wonder, for tent/caravan camping in Sinop or for a day trip. Mr. Ercan and his family, the owner of the business, are very interested and friendly people. The toilets are clean, there is electricity, the showers were new. We made a tent camp for two nights, thanks to them, they took great care of us. We visited the national park right next to it, it's a beautiful bay. Those who go in the season can also swim in the sea. It is an ideal area for those who want to camp both in the sea and in the forest. You can sleep and wake up accompanied by bird sounds. If you leave something to eat around your tent at night, you can make friends with squirrels early in the morning. For our animal friends, it would be good to have cat & dog food with you. If you happen to be in Sinop or if you like camping in different places like us, you should definitely stop by. It was the most enjoyable part of our 1-week camping trip.

A very nice place. Clean, quiet and peaceful. The cove was dirty before but has been cleared. One of the best places for camping. The forest is as clean and beautiful as the sea.
