Fantastic choices of cold and warm Meze's; we ate so many that we skipped the main course. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate special diets (1 vegan person in our group)

not kids friendly, no contactless payments, no plain things like fresh bread, olive oil, a big fresh fish in salt or alike or something fresh & grilled - only various mixes of bread, fish, seafood and sauces. Maybe it is a local haute cuisine, but if you get used to seafood in Spanish, Italian, Greek or Canton style, you will not like it, too much vinegar and spices. Two more reasons to avoid this place is no English speakers, all bills in Turkish and no clarity what you are suggested to pay for, and finally no privacy -- several beggars who constantly go between the guests and harass them with sales of rubbish products they don't need at all. Maybe the restaurant get a commission from these beggars, but other than that, there is no good reason to keep these people within the area in the restaurant. For comparison, try Garos — the same money, but as compared to Akbalik, it’s a real value for money. No Swedish tables of everything and something marinated in vinegar, but a real a la carte place with wild seabass, John Dori, red mullets on the ice etc that you expect from a Mediterrenean restaurant. Not Sakhalin in Yalikavak, but still 5 out of 5, excellent food, no harassment from street sellers, very nice seafront view. And getting there by a water taxi is a real fun, no such option for going to Yalikavak or Akbalik. Akbalik is a STRONG NO recommendation. They cannot guide or treat their guests adequately, and they don’t know what is benchmarking, what is Sakhalin, Garos etc and what level of service and food is available in the area of 20 min from Akbalik

Should make reservation before going there. The place was clear and there was enough distance/place between the tables. The mezes that they served, were good. They have clasic mezes and also their own mezes as well. We tried 3 cold mezes and warm starters. Especially mucver with dead nettle was a fantastic taste. Also meat ball ordered for my daughter, it was really good as well. When the prices are compared with other places in Bodrum, there was not a big differences. This place can be tried if you have time.

Very good food and amazing service. The chocolate soufflé was phenomenal. We got a gift of fresh fruit from the chef.
