You pass a long Roman street in a place that is the work of ancient Roman civilization. A place to be seen. It makes you feel like you are traveling in time in another time. Have a nice trip.

Konum yanlış, doğru yer daha aşağıda karacaören köyünden, Karabük mevkiine doğru giderken(yaklaşık 2km)dere kenarında, minik köprünün sağında ve solunda kurulmuş kent.Çok fazla kalıntı yok nekropol alanı ve yapı duvarları ormanlık alanda kaybolmuş. Koordinatlar aşağıdaki gibidir. enlem: 36.5241 boylam 30.2266
The location is wrong, the right place is the city established on the right and left of the tiny bridge, on the side of the creek, on the way from the village of karacaören to Karabük (approximately 2 km). The coordinates are as follows. latitude: 36.5241 longitude 30.2266

It was a city included in Koinon, which was developed from the ancient Lycian union. Akalissos is a word of Luwi origin and its meaning is unknown. Despite the insufficient information about the foundation of the city, it is thought that there are Hellenistic period ruins. The first mention of its name in history is in the Roman period and during this period, they established three city unions (Sympoliteia) with their neighbors, Idebessos(Yenikisla-Bademagaci) and Kormos(Karabuk). Emperor III. He minted coins during the Gordianus period (238-244 AD). The name of the city is written on these coins. In the Byzantine Period, it became a bishopric center connected to the metropolitan of Myra.
