Выставка прошла, а результаты колоссальной работы огромной группы человек – остались. И сейчас город может похвастаться дополнительной достопримечательностью в своей копилке. А именно выставочной площадью в 100 гектаров. И хоть ни одно из развлекательных и торговых заведений после завершения выставки больше не функционирует, эта зона не должна оставаться в стороне от туристического внимания.
Предыстория
Решение по проведению ее в Анталии было принято в 2010-м году. И целых 6 лет городское управление работало над воплощением проекта в жизнь. Для данной экпозиции было высажено около миллиона единиц растений со всего мира. Символизируя содружество и дружбу между народами, комплекс соединил в себе элементы садоводческой культуры многих стран планеты.
Тематика
Экспо 2016 имела специализацию по теме «Садоводство». Кстати, для выставки на эту тему Анталия была выбрана не случайно. Это связано с тем, что в Турции произростает огромное количество растений-эндемиков. По неофициальным данным, доля, припадающая на Турцию, составляет около трети всех мировых растений. Причем несколько сотен из них встречаются только в Турции. Кроме того, каждая выставка должна иметь свой оригинальный символ. В ЭКСПО-2016 им стала 114-метровая башня. Которая символизирует анталийские пальмы.

Background
The decision to hold it in Antalya was made in 2010. And for 6 years the city administration has been working to bring the project to life. For this exposition, about a million units of plants from all over the world were planted. Symbolizing the commonwealth and friendship between peoples, the complex combines elements of the horticultural culture of many countries of the planet.
Subject
Expo 2016 had a specialization in Gardening. By the way, Antalya was not chosen for the exhibition on this topic by chance. This is due to the fact that a huge number of endemic plants grow in Turkey. According to unofficial data, Turkey's share is about a third of all world plants. Moreover, several hundred of them are found only in Turkey. In addition, each exhibition must have its own original symbol. In EXPO-2016 it was the 114-meter tower. Which symbolizes the Antalya palms.
