Acıpayam is a county of Denizli province, located in the southeast of the Aegean Region. The population of the district is 55,359 people as of December 31, 2020, according to TUIK data. Although tobacco farming is the majority in this region, the word "payam" in its name is also derived from almond production. In addition, the region has made a name for itself with its dish called "goku".
