This is a small collection of the history of the flora and founa of the Abant forest and natural park. It is one of the first sites to welcome you on your visit to Abant natural park. Its wooden nature makes it even more lovable as a place.

In my opinion it's a concept of "Welcoming Place" whose main goal is to show the visitors living ecosystem of the Lake and surrounding forests. This place permanently exhibits some taxidermied vertebrated animals along with some other kinds of animal families' samples shedding light to the wild life potential of the reserved/protected area. Since its establishment date that unfortunatelly I did not clearly remember, this well-organized place serves to visitors kindly, gentle and also well-educated Staffs in charge located on the north side of Abant Lake right next to main entrance for the area in the wooden architecture style building which reflects the local traditions and spread out the region as well. Furthermore, before planning your visit, consider that there is NO CHARGE for admission. By the way, as far as I know no animals were harmed so as to be exhibited on this place's display, all of these taxidermied animals found dead in some times around the reserved area itself. Eventually, by applying appropriate techniques to taxidermy so that these dazzling samples helds on this places display. When it comes to so-called Abant Alasi is a vertebrate specimen in terms of scientific approach known as endemic for this magnificent Lake. it's called Salmo Trutta Abanticus not only lives in the Lake but can be seen in an aquarium tank at the Welcoming Place.
