★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man oh man where do I start with this place? Well the truth is, notaries all over Turkey are difficult enough for Turkish people to handle, but they are doubly difficult for foreigners. They work on commission, so any chance they get, they will screw you out of money. Need a document that costs 80 TL? They will charge you 100 TL if they can get away with it. Have a work permit they haven't seen before? Oh no no... You need to have your passport translated for 100 TL. And there's no way to check you're paying the right price. BTW passports that follow international standards have English on them, so they can be read anywhere! Unfortunately the government officers are too stupid here to be able to read English.
