Ayrıca son derece efendi ve güzel insanların işlettiği; izmitin kent hafızası denilince akla ilk gelen mekanların başında olan.. şehre gezmeye ya da yolüstü uğrayan turistlerince bilinmesi pek mümkün olmayan; sadece öz yerlilerin getirebileceği naiflikte bir mekan. sevinsek mi üzülsek mi bilemedim.
kendi namıma istanbul sarıyerde boğaz manzaralı villada oturan arkadaşlarımı gönül rahatlığı ile gelin burda börek yemeden dönmeyeceksiniz deyip oturttuğum ve son derece memnun bıraktığım; ha keza başka nice şehir dışından gelen eşi dostu sürpriz bir kahvaltıya oturttuğum mekandır.
zaten onların da aradığı böyle güzelliklerdir ya hoş. ellerine sağlık. en başta büyük babaları olsun; gerek beyefendi gerek saygıdeğer eşi hanımefendi gerek oğulları olsun hepsinin gönüllerine sağlık. böyle esnaflarla dolu bir ülkenin içinde yaşayamasak da yaşadığımız şehirde varlıklarını bilmek mutluluk veriyor.
